Thank you for the news

Thanks once again for a great news story about the historic Booth Fish Hatchery and Archives. It’s the place that still helps stock our lakes and streams, preserves fisheries history in a world-class archives, and is a traditional bonding place for local families who love to feed the fish and the ducks and see a bald eagle now and then in a scenic and historic landscape.

The recent Alex Portal Pioneer article, “Booth Society to hold fundraiser to protect land” told of un-going Booth Society efforts to pay for a recent 64 acre land purchase to protect hatchery water and landscapes.  I hope that folks continue to support the hatchery and its efforts to help Spearfish now in the future.  There’s a fund raising activity this Monday from 6-8:30 p.m. in the city park pavilion.

David Nickel,

Spearfish
