Land acquisition a great project for hatchery

Dear Editor:

This Pioneer reader wants to thank folks for the great August 1 front page story, “DC Booth hatchery to expand by 64 acres Booth Society announces land acquisition fundraising campaign.’ It told how the Booth Society announced the acquisition of 64 acres of undeveloped land next to our Hatchery that will help with hatchery programs to preserve habitat for wildlife and enhance programs for community education and visitor use at our hatchery.

The fundraising program was detailed in the Pioneer story.

The article details how Pioneer readers can help with the fund-raising (much has already has been raised).

I’ve worked and volunteered over the years at the hatchery and its archives. This land acquisition fundraising campaign is the latest example of many individual citizens, community groups, and governmental agencies all work together for our Booth hatchery!

Call or visit you Booth hatchery and archives for more info. on how to help this 64 acre hatchery expansion.
