Annie Troyer, 93, of Spearfish passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2019, at Spearfish Canyon Healthcare.

She was born in Pointe Coupee Parish New Roads, La., to Bera and Hobson Anderson. She was first married to Harry Walter and had a child, Carlton Walter. After Harry’s passing, she moved to Longmont, Colo., to be with her family. There she met and married John Troyer on Jan. 20, 1971. After their marriage, she moved to his ranch outside of Spearfish.

Annie is survived by her husband John Troyer of Spearfish; two grandchildren, Becky Walter of Gillette and Jenny (Walter) Coulter of Troutdale, Ore.; two great-grandchildren, Krystal Essen and Mikael Essen of Gillette; and a great-great grandchild, Everlee Essen of Gillette.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Walter; son, Carlton Walter; sister, Julie Mathis and brother, Bill Anderson.

At her request, there will be no services.
