STURGIS — Brodie Eisenbraun, a junior at Sturgis Brown High School, and a punter for the Scoopers football team, was invited to the sixth annual Invite-only National Showcase Event held at Round Rock Dragon Stadium in Austin, Texas.

The showcase is open to ninth thru twelfth grade kickers, punters and snappers, who have earned an invitation in person at a Kicking World Camp during the 2019 season and will be held on Dec. 7-8, in Austin, Texas.

The event focuses on helping the athlete get their ability validated, achieve maximum exposure, and increase their options for playing at the next level.

This special kicking camp will helps athletes understand the ins and outs of the college recruiting process and provides a definite edge in your journey of making it to college.

“There will be field goal,  kicking, and punting competition, and I hope to come away with maybe some colleges looking at me, and that is my main goal,” said Brodie Eisenbraun.  “I love football and I want to get better for the high school season so that is why I went to the Minnesota camp and that is where I got selected,” he added.

Eisenbraun had 35 punts in nine games this season for 1,218 yards for 34.8 yards average.

He averaged 72.22% on extra points, making 13 of 18.

“Brodie had a standout showing at our kicking camp in Minneapolis this summer. It was Brodie’s first time training with us and he showed a lot of hustle, an upbeat attitude, and was very consistent on his kicks throughout the day. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do amongst the best kickers from across the country this weekend!” said Brent Grablachoff.

Eisenbraun earned the invitation earlier this season by having a ‘wow’ performance in our pressure competitions, competing against some of the best kickers from over 25 states.

Brent Grablachoff and the Kicking World staff hand-selected the top 98 kickers of over 1,200 that they evaluated across the country this year.

Eisenbraun is one of 65 students representing 22 different states who will attend the Kicking World National Showcase in Austin, Texas, Dec. 7-8.
