STURGIS — Just over 100 bike enthusiasts competed in the seventh week of the Regional Health Mountain Bike race series during the weekly Music on Main event at Harley Davidson Rally Point on Wednesday in Sturgis.

Nate Keck was the winner of this week’s 13-mile race in just over one hour, followed by Jim Meyer from Spearfish.

The riders faced a downpour of rain and some medium-sized hail during the race.

Calvin Cammack from Sturgis is in second place in the point standing and finished in third place in the race.

“With the weather and a harder course, tonight we have a smaller turnout with around 100 racers,” said DJ Brink, Dakota Xtreme Bicycle. “This week the course was tougher with a lot more climbing than normal and a longer distance. It isn’t that terribly difficult, just a lot of climbing without a lot of reward.”

The final week of Music on Main this season will be Wednesday, July 24, with a special appearance of the Budweiser Clydesdales at 6 p.m. at Harley Davidson Point.
