CANYON, Texas — The Black Hills State men’s basketball team, the No. 6 seed, is set to kick off March Madness at the NCAA DII South Central regionals against the No. 3 seed Colorado School of Mines Saturday, in Canyon, Texas.
Both teams represent the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Tip off is set for 11 a.m.
The winner will advance to the semifinal round of the 2023 South Central Regional Tournament at 5 p.m. on Sunday to face the winner between No. 2 Fort Lewis and No. 7 Lubbock Christian.
The Yellow Jackets are currently 25-5 overall and are coming off an RMAC semifinal run after matching a program-best 24 regular season wins. On the latest national polls, BHSU came in at T20th in the nation on the D2SIDA Media Poll and 21st on the NABC Coaches Poll.
The Yellow Jackets defeated the Orediggers 85-66. Feb. 3, in their only matchup this season.
Games will be available to stream all weekend via the Lone Star Conference Digital Network. After creating an account on the LSC service, the stream will be available for free access.
