SPEARFISH — Nathan (Nate) Rotert, Spearfish High School Class of 2013, will be inducted into the Spearfish High School Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2020, during halftime of the Spearfish/Huron girls’ varsity basketball game on Friday, Feb. 7, in Spearfish.

Rotert was a multi-sport athlete at Spearfish Hih High School.

Here are Rotert’s accomplishments:

Wrestling: 6x SHS Wrestling Letter Winner 7th-12th grade; 116-15 career record; 4x State Qualifier; 4x State Placer (4th place 2010); 3x State Finalist (2nd place 2011); 2x State Champion (2012, 2013); 4-year Team Captain; USA National Cadet Freestyle (Fargo) Runner-up; only loss in finals to eventual 2018 Olympic Champion, Kyle Snyder (2011); USA National Jr. Duals Greco Team South Dakota 10-0 record; All- Tournament Team USA Freestyle and Greco Jr. Duals; 2x High School National Champion (National High School Coaches Association Virginia Beach) 10-0 record; USA Dream Team Classic All- Star Participant

Football: 4x SHS Football Letter Winner; 4-year starter playing both ways as middle linebacker and running back, along with     kicking duties; 2x All State Running back; 2x Team Captain; Led the team in tackles all four seasons; Led the team in rushing yards junior and senior years; Selected to Argus Leader’s Elite 45 Senior Year; Selected to the South Dakota Senior All- Star Game
