VALE — A beautiful early summer day Sunday brought out crowds for the Vale 140th celebration. Activities included a parade down Rosander Avenue, followed by a potluck lunch and childrens’ games. Among the parade participants were graduates of Vale High School, Helen Baldwin Komes, descendent of the first mail carrier in Vale, and Vale’s Enid Crockford, thought to be Vale’s oldest living resident.
