SPEARFISH — A Belle Fourche man received serious but non-life threatening injuries Saturday in a two-vehicle crash.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Justin Crago, 33, of St. Onge was traveling east on Camp Comfort Road in a Ford F-350. He was pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with logs. He allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a 1997 Subaru Legacy traveling north on Highway 85 driven by a Belle Fourche man. Tony Mangan, a spokesman with the Department of Public Safety declined to identify the driver and passengers of the Subaru citing Marsy’s Law and the department’s policy to wait three days before releasing such information.
The driver required extrication from the vehicle. An adult male passenger and a 2-year-old child in the Subaru were uninjured.
Crago was also uninjured.
Charges are pending against Crago.
