BELLE FOURCHE — The 35th Annual Agri-Business Banquet was held Thursday evening at Belle Fourche’s Community Hall where four families were honored with special recognition for their impact on the agricultural community.

The annual event, hosted by the Black Hills Roundup Ag Committee, recognized individuals in the local area who contribute to the ag sector and enhances the link between the business and agricul- tural communities.

Ralph and Becky Crago were named Ag Persons of the Year, Clete and Kristy Schmidt were honored as the Dick Reder Young Rancher Family of the Year, and Justin and Brooke Tupper, who own St. Onge Livestock, were recognized as the Ag Business Persons of the Year.

The Black Hills Roundup Ag Committee, who puts on the event, added another award this year. Randy Curtis, who died unexpect- edly in March, was honored with the Ag Leadership Award. His family was present to accept the award on his behalf.

Forty-one local businesses and the ag committee sponsored tables. American West Catering served up the fare and the Branding Iron Steakhouse provided refreshments.
