DEADWOOD — An interesting historic subject matter, paired with the perfect person to profess on the subject, has resulted in the recent release of “Deadwood’s Mount Moriah Cemetery,” researched, written, and in some cases, photographed by City Archivist Mike Runge.

For the last year and a half, the self-imposed deadline of publishing the book prior to the September arrival of the Festival of the Books in Deadwood has created many 5 a.m. mornings for Runge to get the job done.
