CITY OF SPEARFISH Community Services Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES: The community services officer (full-time) will enforce local ordinances, state laws, and other specified violations of International Property Maintenance and Fire Code as adopted by the City of Spearfish, as they relate to property code violations and nuisance abatement. REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and a minimum of three years’ experience in a code enforcement discipline which involved extensive public contact or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of this position. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving history.
