BELLE FOURCHE — Prices for graves, burial and perpetual grave care in Belle Fourche are scheduled to rise on Jan. 1, 2013. The price increases are effective in all three of Belle Fourche's active cemeteries, Riverside, St. Paul's and Pine Slope.

“We're increasing them (the prices) to cover maintenance costs, which have increased over the last few years,” said Dirk Hoffman, director of public works for the city of Belle Fourche. “Costs have increased, so we have to make adjustments, too.”

The price of a single adult grave will rise from $200 to $250 and the price of perpetual care for a single grave will rise from $125 to $175. Perpetual care fees are one-time fees. The price of infant graves will not change. The double interment fee will rise from $50 to $100 and the price for double interment perpetual care will rise from $250 to $350. The price for inurnment sites will rise from $50 to $100 and perpetual care of those sites will rise from $50 to $100 as well.
